We want to empower New Zealanders to join us on the journey to reduce the impacts of worldwide food loss and waste, while also helping our Kiwi community to eat seasonally, more sustainably and affordably all year round.
We've got a frequency to suit your routine. From weekly, to monthly and everything in between.
We save the 'too big', 'too small', 'too ugly' & 'too much' fruit & veggies which might be a little cosmetically challenged..
Come home to a box brimming with fresh veggies, just in time for dinner.

"Too Small", Hail Damaged and "Too Many" leeks from Pukekohe, the Manawatū and Horowhenua regions. We source local to you.
'Too Small' Tamarillos from Northland have recently been landing in our fruit boxes.
"Too Ugly", Wrong Size and Scarred Kiwifruit from the Bay Of Plenty, Hawkes Bay & around Auckland. The majority of Aotearoa's Kiwifruit is sold overseas, and this leaves us with tonnes of non-export grade fruit which lands in the Wonky Box.
Gisborne is the New Zealand home of citrus and where we source most of our Wonky oranges, tangelos, grapefruit & lemons. We purchase the 'too many' & 'too ugly' of these juicy delights.
"Too Small", "Too Much", and sometimes even sunburnt beetroot from Horowhenua, Pukekohe and Manawatū. When the weather permits, we receive these earthy gems with the leaves on, giving salads extra flavour and colour.
"Too Ugly", "Wrong Size" and "Too Many" Capsicums, often as Wonky as it gets. Wonky works directly with the grower to offer them a secondary market for the capsicums which might go to waste.

Also get great recipes e mailed for that weeks contents. You can omit up to 3 veggies from your box so you don't have to have stuff you don't like.I love my wonky box and it's especially great for making hearty winter soups
We are loving wonky box and so glad we use it. We look forward to discovering what we have for the week and even trying new fruit and veg that we havent had before. Not only are we saving money each week but we are helping with food waste. The produce tastes fantastic so we don’t mind that it may look a little bit wonky!
I have received the Wonky box 3 times now and am super impressed with all things about this product. Communication is wonderful including ordering, updates, delivery's and emails with recipe suggestions. The vegetables are of high quality and I really love all the different types.
1/3 of food globally is wasted and it’s estimated at up to 40% of produce grown doesn’t leave the farm gate. Which is why Wonky is on a mission to fill hungry bellies, not landfill, whilst supporting local growers.
Each week, we send out new recipes using the latest box ingredients, so if you're stuck on what to rustle up with your box, check out our recipes, tips & tricks.
